Hi lovies!
It's so nice to be back! I missed this a lot, and been wanting to blog so soon, but this girl have been through a lot these past few months.
(I will try to blog about it next time๐)
So just today, My work got me travelling to the west part of the city and had the chance to wander around the area. Limpapa is the farthest barangay in the west side of the city. Most people would take that road to reach Sibuco,Zamboanga del Norte, which is geographically located beside Limpapa.
At present, Limpapa is well known for its marvelous Bridge, where most people took chance to travel and take selfies on it.
๐ The bright orange iron poles which looks perfect on pictures
๐ The turquoise background of the ocean or the greens of the mountain.
๐ And maybe because, it is one of a kind in the city.
Usually, people would just park their vehicles on the bridge, but few would go down to the river, and have a different angle of the bridge while enjoying the cold water.
Locals and tourists can have a little picnic and enjoy the fresh air and clean water.
Many cottages were built for public. Stores are also visible in the corner.
After visiting the bridge, you might want to take a look at the hidden Limpapa falls before going back to the city.
This falls might be unfamiliar to others, which you may need to discover just by asking for directions from the locals, but the 5-minute trek was worth it. A beneficiary of our program (work) willingly agreed to guide us to the falls. I must say that the path to the falls were not so challenging considering that school- aged children easily travels while running and playing along.
On the way back, I had to pose for the camera because of this bed of greens. I so love greens and can't help but appreciate it while taking our steps to the falls, so I promised my self to take a souvenir photo of it afterwards. ๐๐๐
I jokingly asked our guide if I can buy some greens to be used for my wedding, she said it's not for sale, but she is volunteering to help me pick those blooming greens anytime! How awesome is that?!
Wild pineapples randomly grows around.
More snaps on this part, where the road were newly completed. A habal-habal driver once told me that the Locals had to trim down the grass to give a perfect view of the ocean and Limpapa Road.
How to get there:
Zamboanga City
From the pueblo (downtown) take a Bus ride to Barangay Labuan- P35php one way. Bus terminal located just beside Zamboanga Guitar's store.
From Barangay Labuan, (legend: Covered Court) ride a habal- habal (hired motorcycle) to Limpapa Bridge, we were charged P50php each person for a round trip to the bridge. For special side trips like the Limpapa falls, just add a tip, or just negotiate politely. 2-3 passengers can occupy the habal-habal depends on the size of the motorcycle. The driver will patiently wait for you until you are done photo-capturing! ๐
If you are traveling on a private vehicle, you might want to take a side trip to 'The Ruins of Zamboanga' as I fondly call it. At Barangay Ayala, go to Dreamville Convenience Store, or the road going to Barangay La Paz, Legend: Caltex Gasoline Station. Ask locals for the location of Dreamville Subdivision at Phase 1. 'The Ruins' is an unfinished/abandoned guard house of a private subdivision. It's surrounded with greens that makes it look one with nature.
Have you been to this part of the city? Share your experiences! Comment below and I'd be happy to read it. ๐
