The Coop| Best Tasting Buffalo Wings in Zamboanga

Zamboanga's dining scene is constantly evolving. Today, I have discovered a new place to enjoy chicken the unusual way.

The Coop, is everything you loved about modern American food, only better. Located along Crispin Atilano, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City, which stands between the two Colleges in the vicinity.
The couple are behind this newest eatery. Their fantastic menu puts the "modern" into modern American food. The history of their specialty-- the Buffalo Wings were made of a combination of love for food and love for each other rolled into one majestic invention. The couple recalled the time when they were still dating, the husband did search far and wide to perfect the ingredients for the best tasting Buffalo Wings, to impress his wife. The food across the Menu are the food they love to eat.
The Coop had their soft opening last August 5, but few months ago, The Coop was first established in Rizal Ave., Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. I had the chance to try their food when I visited Dipolog back then. It never left my mind of how tasty it was. The truth is, I really had to ask the owner if they sell their franchise because I was so interested in their concept as a whole.
It has a cool and casual place, convenient for everyone, most specially for students through their commitment to bring quality food at affordable prices.

The Menu

My squad had a distinct choice of food, one of us ordered the Chicken Katsu Meal (P85.00), served with rice and coleslaw on the side. This meal is very appropriate when hunger pangs hit you. You need to carb it up first.
Garlic Bomb with Cheese (P85.00)
The bun was firm but fresh, the meat itself was warm enough that whenever you took a bite, it felt like the burger melted in your mouth. The spices burst in your mouth upon taking your bite.

 Jalapeño Cream Cheese Burger (120.00)
This. Burger. Is. Amazing. My friend won't stop describing how perfectly this burger was produced.

House Burger with Cheese (P85.00)
Look at the cheese! This burger is mouth-watering. I know what you feel, you can't help but crave for this. Urgh! Need I say more?

All Combos come with fries and a drink
The famous, The Ultimate Fries (P120.00).
We're talking parmesan cheese, spicy peppers, pieces of chicken scraps and fried herbs! Good for sharing!

A choice of Iced Tea or Mango-Pineapple Juice will be served free along with the Combo meal. By the way, they don't serve pork in here.

As they formally opened their door to Zamboangueños, a "Hot Wing Challenge" was announced few days ago through their Facebook page.
The challengers were chosen randomly amongst those who have listed their names in the page.

The Rules:
*Contestants must finish 3 pieces of our Hot Wing Challenge Wings.
*They must then lick their fingers and any excess sauce that may have fallen off the Wings.
*Contestants must then endure 5 minutes without eating or drinking anything
If any Contestants complete the above rules they will have completed the challenge and will receive the prize!

Finally, the challengers were named:
Rochelle, Fatima, AJ, Julius, Abdul and Carl (The Buffalo Soldiers)
They could still smile for the camera, wait 'til it starts!
The Super-duper-extremely-hot-and-severely-spicy wings were finally introduced.

They have been warned! These hot wings are way too spicy to handle!
Tear-dropping, mouth-bursting experience from the challengers!

I've never seen a meal topped with 5 different kinds of Chilis, all imported from the US!
At first, the owners were hesitant about this challenge being a "challenge" to Filipinos since, it is a common knowledge that most Pinoys love spicy food.
But, they were wrong! These guys were screaming at the top of their lungs! They can't hide it!
The crowd went wild to cheer for the challengers!

At the end of the competition, 5 out of 6 survived the Coop's Hot Wing Challenge! They get to bring home the limited edition Shirt, Mug and a cash price. Plus the bragging rights!

Well, if you missed this opportunity, don't you guys worry, The Coop regularly conducts "Hot Wings Challenge" once every 3- 4 months, so watch out for it!

Overall, it was a fun game, the crowd also enjoyed as they root for their Challenger. There were laughter all around, cheering and dancing.
As for me, I never doubted the quality of their food, since they have convinced me from Day 1.

My friends were also convinced that this place will bring a new taste to the city.
You'll want to instagram the hell out of it, then lick your plate clean.

P.S.
Here's a clip from the Hot Wing Challenge! Enjoy!

The New Steakhouse in Zamboanga Everybody Will Be Talking About

I live in an urban city located in Mindanao and is popularly known as Zamboanga City . "Mi ciudad de Zamboanga"  is my home since birth, and I grew with the trends and economic improvements of this place but still maintains its local culture and colorful traditions. Today, I decided to blog about this new craze in town. Together with the vast growth of new stores and diners is the Newest Steakhouse that I have discovered. Located at Cabato Road, Brgy. Tetuan, Zamboanga City, PH  is this exquisite restaurant which serves mouth-watering steaks which Zamboangueños  and others will surely love.  The European cuisine appeals to the eclectic Pinoy crowd, which enjoys not only the food but also the elegant and comfortable atmosphere.  Steak and cutlet in particular are common dishes across the Menu. Sausages are amongst the newest hit, along with pasta, salads and desserts. S izzling steaks are their newest c...

To the Westside.

Hi lovies! It's so nice to be back! I missed this a lot, and been wanting to blog so soon, but this girl have been through a lot these past few months.  (I will try to blog about it next time😉)  So just today, My work got me travelling to the west part of the city and had the chance to wander around the area. Limpapa is the farthest barangay in the west side of the city. Most people would take that road to reach Sibuco,Zamboanga del Norte, which is geographically located beside Limpapa.  At present, Limpapa is well known for its marvelous Bridge, where most people took chance to travel and take selfies on it.  What makes this bridge special? 📌 The bright orange iron poles which looks perfect on pictures 📌 The turquoise background of the ocean or the greens of the mountain. 📌 And maybe because, it is one of a kind in the city. Usually, people would just park their vehicles on the bridge, but few would go down to the river, and have a different angle of the bridge ...
